STUNT Team

I have been a part of the STUNT team at CBU since 2019 and am jersey #1. STUNT is an emerging all-female NCAA sport. STUNT is deprived of cheerleading and is a four-quarter game format. Below are a few videos of videos me showcasing some of my skills. Below the images and videos is a description of my life as a student-athlete at CBU.

p.s. Yes, I am the little flyer that gets thrown around and am at the top of the stunt.

Student-Athlete Lifestyle

I have been a student-athlete at CBU for a few years now and have learned many skills that will help me in my future once I enter the workplace. I have gained three primary skills: goal-oriented, commitment, and teamwork.

Goal-Oriented

By balancing my school work and my sport, setting daily goals has helped me stay on top of my responsibilities. Setting daily goals has also helped me avoid procrastination and trained me to always strive for excellence daily. Goal-setting has not always been easy for me. When I was a young adult, I did struggle to set goals. I have worked hard to overcome my weakness in setting goals and have made significant progress in my life. I have become more disciplined and have implemented goal setting and successfully achieved them.

Commitment

Being on a division one college team has taught me about commitment. Being committed has helped me stick to my goals both during the good times and the bad times. I have also struggled with adversity in commitment. Being committed to my school work and my sport has been challenging at times, but it has helped me become the person I am today and be as disciplined as I am.

Teamwork

Teamwork plays a huge factor in this sport and has taught me so much about working together with my team to achieve our goals. Teamwork has also taught me how to communicate better with my colleagues and become a better leader. Teamwork in the workplace is essential and will help me strive in my future.

Community Day lead by SAAC (4/9/22)

This event was hosted by the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. We invited local foster kids to this fun event to play games and to get to know them all. Around 100 kids were at this event and we, the student athletes of CBU, were able to impact the kids lives by building a relationship with each and every one of them.
